"Horror on the High Seas!" is the tenth issue of Dark Horse's Godzilla. It was released on April 1, 1996.[1]

Information

This issue originally was sold for $2.50.[1]

Description

Professor Mason is a scientist with two very deadly weapons. The first is a time machine, which gives him access to the entire panorama of history. The second is the King of the Monsters, whom Mason is using to terrorize the past! It's now 1588, the year of the Spanish Armada's ill-fated attack on England. Unless G-Force - with a little help from William Shakespeare and Sir Francis Drake - can find Mason and stop Godzilla's rampage, all of history will be altered and the world we know will cease to exist![1]

Plot

Helzer and Meltev arrive in Elizabethan England while Mason awaits the Spanish Armada's battle with the English before unleashing Godzilla's wrath. Godzilla destroys the Armada with mason's submarines collecting the sinking loot. Helzer and Meltev, distracted by an encounter with William Shakespeare in a pub, are too late to stop Mason's men, but they are seen by Mason, who realises that G-Force is after him.

They do capture Mason's accomplice Dixon, however. Helzer, Meltev and Dixon are teleported back to the present from the deck of Sir Francis Drake's ship. Meanwhile, Godzilla appears in a subterranean grotto beneath San Francisco and is angered, causing the ground above to shake.
