GAMERA -Rebirth- code thyrsos (GAMERA -Rebirth- コードテルソス Gamera Ribāsu Kōdo Terusosu) is an ongoing prequel manga series to the 2023 Netflix Original animated series GAMERA -Rebirth-, illustrated by Cambria Bakuhatsu Taro from a story by Kadokawa. It began being released in chapters through Kadokawa's online service Young Ace UP on September 8, 2023. English translations of the chapters by Lapin, Inc. are also released the same day through the website BOOK☆WALKER.
Set 100,000 years before the events of GAMERA -Rebirth-, the comic depicts the downfall of the ancient kingdom of Elistania, which had begun manufacturing giant creatures known as Kaiju to stage artificial wars for the benefit of its elite. A boy named Lucius, whose father was killed in one such war, is disfigured in an encounter with a Kaiju and vows to see the aristocracy destroyed.
