Plot
The Power Rangers summon their Dinozords, and due to Godzilla's heat threatening to melt through their individual shielding, they combine and form the Megazord. The Megazord attempts to punch Godzilla, leading to Godzilla biting its arm. Tommy attempts to warn the other Rangers about Godzilla's atomic breath, but the Megazord is able to block the atomic breath with the Mastodon Shield. Tommy attempts to give the Rangers backup but is interrupted by Goldar, who attacks and captures him.
The Rangers summon the Megazord's Power Sword and charge Godzilla, Godzilla, in turn, begins to charge at the Rangers. The ensuing clash results in Godzilla getting stabbed in the chest by the Power Sword and the Megazord taking a close range blast of atomic breath. With both combatants down, Rita celebrates, but is warned by the Supreme Controller of Planet X that Godzilla isn't so easily killed. In response, Rita orders the Xilien UFOs to attack the Megazord and Godzilla as Goldar delivers a captured Tommy to Rita. Godzilla recovers as the UFOs are attacking and manages to swat one from the sky with his tail. Rita reveals that Godzilla isn't one of her monsters to Tommy. Godzilla retreats, the Megazord deactivates, and the Dinozords retreat to repair, leaving the battle a bitter stalemate.
The Rangers start to help surviving civilians, who inform them Godzilla has been the only thing standing in the way of the Xiliens conquering Earth for some time now. The Rangers then find the downed UFO and hijack it. They fly the UFO to the Xilien mothership and do battle with Rita's forces and the Xiliens. As the battle intensifies, the Xiliens summon Gigan in order to distract the Rangers. Gigan begins destroying the nearby amusement park where the survivors have evacuated to. The Rangers summon the Dinozords, but aren't able to damage Gigan in their individual forms. The Rangers then combine into the Megazord, but since the Zords still haven't fully repaired from the battle with Godzilla, Gigan quickly gains the upper hand. To ensure the Rangers are beaten, Rita summons Rhinoblaster and Eye Guy to the battle. The three monsters stand over the battered Megazord.
