Godzilla vs. America (2025–)

Godzilla vs. America is an ongoing anthology comic book miniseries from IDW Publishing. The series focuses on Godzilla targeting different cities and states across the United States, with each issue featuring four stories by four creative teams. The first issue, set in Chicago, Illinois, was released on February 26, 2025. Subsequent issues have taken place in Los Angeles, California; Boston, Massachusetts; Kansas City, Missouri; Portland, Oregon; and Texas. The seventh and eighth issues, set in San Diego, California and New York City, New York, will be published on July 22 and September 23, 2026, respectively.
Issues
Development
The series was first announced on October 18, 2024, alongside Mothra: Queen of the Monsters and Godzilla: Heist, at the 2024 New York Comic Con. Additional information about the series, including several covers and the lineup of creatives behind the first issue among other details, were revealed exclusively by TheWrap.[1]
Despite being initially billed as a four-issue limited series, it became an ongoing series with the confirmation of the fifth issue, Godzilla vs. America: Portland, on December 19, 2025.[2]
Collected editions
IDW released the series' first four issues as individual hardcovers on March 10, 2026, also collecting these in a box set exclusive to the company's online store. The next four issues will receive individual hardcovers on February 16, 2027. IDW also released the first four issues together in paperback and hardcover, titled Godzilla vs. America: Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, on April 7, 2026. A paperback collection of the next four issues, titled Godzilla vs. America: New York City, Portland, San Diego, Texas, will follow on March 16, 2027.
