Plot
Elvira's Xilien forces prepare to attack the rebel base on Tama 7. Ayan regains consciousness in the S.S. Mechagodzilla's sickbay, realizing that Rohan stunned her. Lif offers her a drink, but she immediately punches him in the nose and makes for the vents. Rohan contacts her as she reaches the bridge, desperately explaining that he didn't kill Ilsa, just stunned her and jettisoned her via escape pod. Ayan finds a monitor displaying multiple angles of Mechagodzilla restrained by grappling hooks, and realizes that Xiliens are on the bridge with her, trying to find her. Rohan tells her that Elvira intercepted them just after they left Tama 7 and forcibly boarded the ship. Ayan is nonetheless outraged, declaring that both Rohan and Gen betrayed her by working for the Xiliens. Climbing into the pilot's seat, she activates Mechagodzilla's foot thrusters while slamming doors in front of the Xiliens, Rohan, and Gen. Rohan pleads with her to let him negotiate with them, but she refuses to compromise with evil. Gen admits that she knows the Xiliens are evil, and Rohan concurs, but with the massive debt the ship has incurred, collaboration is necessary to protect the crew. Still defiant, Ayan burns through the grappling hooks and maneuvers Mechagodzilla away from the Xilien armada, but fails to notice SpaceGodzilla, who rattles the starship with a two-fisted blow.
Xiliens led by Elvira storm the bridge, along with Rohan, Gen, and Lif. Elvira offers the crew a massive reward if they're willing to tell her the location of the rebel base. When Rohan declares neutrality, saying he was only helping a ship in need, she gloatingly reveals that a blast from SpaceGodzilla contaminated Mechagodzilla in their last encounter, and its unique energy signature has allowed them to trace its movements since then. She dryly congratulates them for doing what her best soldiers couldn't. Terrified for Frey, Ayan charges at Elvira, only to be shot in the arm. Elvira tells Rohan to keep the money as a reward for finding the rebel leaders and forces him to thank her. She orders her forces to begin the attack, and they depart. Back in the sickbay, Gen cauterizes Ayan's wound. Ayan is still determined to fight despite the overwhelming odds, believing it to be their responsibility since they revealed the rebels' location. Lif agrees, though Gen warns her that everything will change if they definitively side with the rebels; the Xiliens will never stop hunting her. She accepts this fate, and asks Rohan if he can stomach the rebels' deaths.
Frey orders the rebels to defensive positions as the Xiliens threaten to overwhelm the base. As increasing numbers of ships gather overhead, SpaceGodzilla touches down on the planet's surface.
