Plot
Sushila "Sushi" Sahax thinks back on her first experiences with skateboarding, including being gifted and breaking her first board, building the Coin Toss with her friends, and wishing on that shooting star. She attaches the two halves of her original board to a wall there. Back in the present, she and the other skaters flee as Godzilla and Varan come to blows. The King of the Monsters charges his atomic breath, but Varan springs forward and tackles him to the ground. Sahax suddenly charges course, skating directly towards the warring monsters, to the shock of her friends. Jules Wheeler is the first to urge the others to follow her. Meanwhile, Varan bites Godzilla's hand, then drives one of his head spikes through the other. Godzilla tail-whips Varan into the water, and is again tackled before he can deploy his atomic breath.
Underground, the general curses as she fails to reach someone on the phone. She dismisses the Prime Minister's demand for an update. Lauren, a scientist, delivers grim news on the glowing object under study: it's emitting pulses an affecting tectonic stability at an increasing rate. The only solution she can suggest is to find a way to drive the monsters away from it. The general orders experimental fighter jets, the F-Class Red Bellies, into action. Godzilla's atomic breath sends Varan flying into the air, but the monster glides towards Godzilla and smacks him with a spinning tail whip. As Godzilla recovers, rubble flies towards Sahax and Jimmy "Egg" Fry drags her to safety. He tries to convince her to evacuate, but she refuses to leave her old board to be destroyed. The fighter jets arrive, their powerful missiles driving the monsters back. Sahax resolves to get the board pieces herself, but the others are determined to see it through with her. Before they can reach the wall, however, the ground splits open, plunging them into the underground military base.
Fry and Sahax end up separated from Wheeler and Roland "Rolly" Nolan by rubble. They resolve to head in opposite directions and try to reconnect. Sahax, nursing an injured shoulder, explains to Fry that the board was the last thing she remembered from before her mom got sick; when the shooting star came down, she wished to see her again. He replies that he wishes for cinnamon donuts, and they both crack up - before entering a massive chamber with multiple giant robots.
