Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone is an upcoming 2025 ongoing comic series by IDW Publishing. Part of a shared universe of Godzilla comics dubbed the Kai-Sei Era, the series will debut in August 2025, between the launches of Godzilla and Starship Godzilla. It will be written by Ethan Parker and Griffin Sheridan, with illustrations by Pablo Tunica.
After the United States tried and failed to recreate the experiments that led to the original Godzilla’s creation in 1954, the area contaminated by the catastrophe was dubbed the "Deadzone." In this irradiated landscape, a half-human, half-kaiju mutant known as the Wanderer fights for survival against monsters.[1][2]
