Myanmar, officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (Burmese: ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် Pyidaungzu Thamada Myamma Naingngandaw) and historically known as Burma, is a country located in Southeast Asia. It has been featured in kaiju media across movies and shows in small capacity.

As the Venture sailed en route to Skull Island, Captain Englehorn received a telegram mandating that he divert to Rangoon, Myanmar and turn Carl Denham over to the authorities.

As the Venture sailed en route to Skull Island, a cablegram came in reporting that Carl Denham was a “fugitive”, and that as such the bank could not honor his check, along with instructions to leave him in Rangoon, Burma. As such, Englehorn immediately ordered the ship to turn around.

Trivia

Myanmar has made various indirect appearances through mentions on maps across the Godzilla franchise.
- In Godzilla: The Half-Century War #2, a map of Southeast Asia shows Myanmar alongside neighboring Thailand.
- In Godzilla Singular Point, a map shows northern Myanmar being a location of various Rodan attacks stemming southward from China.
