Ethiopia, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዴሞክራሲያዊ ሪፐብሊክ Yäʾityop̣p̣yawi Federalawi Demokrasiyawi Ripäblik) and historically known as Abyssinia, is a landlocked country in East Africa. In kaiju media, it has been showcased in select instances in small capacity.

Johnny Orwell, a sergeant in the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Regiment of G-Force's Temporary Africa Corps Reorganization, was serving in Ethiopia in 2042 during the United Earth's undertaking of Project: Mechagodzilla.

His account described how the soldiers of "Operation: Long March" died shouting and screaming "Long live Mechagodzilla!", himself remarking the machine as a 'stupid PR movie' and 'a useless toy built by the Bilusaludo'.

Trivia

Ethiopia has been indirectly mentioned through highlighted appearances on various maps in the Godzilla franchise.
- On a Cold War-era map in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it can be seen that one of Monarch's bunkers was stationed near Ethiopia's border with Somalia.
- The Horn of Africa was one of the epicenters of Rodan attacks in Godzilla Singular Point, which included Ethiopia.
