Plot

With a new helicarrier nicknamed Behemoth specially designed for capturing Godzilla, S.H.I.E.L.D. becomes aware that the monster is sleeping in a cave nearby, while at the Stark plant, Yuriko Takiguchi puts the final touches on his SJ3RX robot, and Jimmy Woo and Tamara Hashioka begin a romance. Young Robert Takiguchi believes that his grandfather's robot shouldn't be used against Godzilla, and decides to do something about the situation.

S.H.I.E.L.D. locates the cave where Godzilla is sleeping and fills it with sufficient knockout gas to put him out cold, which allows them to load up Godzilla inside Behemoth. Meanwhile, Robert enters the robot and puts on its control helmet. However, after pushing a button, the feedback from the device knocks Robert unconscious. Godzilla is taken to a military base north of San Diego and placed in a so-called "escape-proof" cage from which, after awakening, he easily breaks out of.
