Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong #2 is a comic book from DC Comics and Legendary Comics. It was published on November 21, 2023.

Description

Legendary's Monsterverse has been unleashed on the DC Universe, and cities are threatened across the globe! From Metropolis to Gotham City to Themyscira, the Justice League scrambles to protect the citizens from these raging titans! What role has the Legion of Doom played in all this monster madness, and how will the tide of battle change... when a hero falls?![1]

Plot

Superman tries to reason with Godzilla and take their battle away from the city. However, he realizes it's him Godzilla wants and tries to grab Godzilla's tail, but is quickly swatted away and crashes into a building. Superman flies out to confront Godzilla again while the Flash evacuates the building's inhabitants and Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow disembark to assist the Kryptonian. When Lantern asks if they should figure out where the Legion of Doom went instead, Wonder Woman reminds him that the situation at hand is urgent. Cyborg then reports that another "big problem" is occurring in the form of other Titans attacking major cities: Scylla in Central City, Camazotz in Gotham City, and Behemoth in Themyscira. Realizing they need to divide and conquer, the Justice League calls upon all available heroes. Hawkgirl heads to Superman's location, Supergirl, Flash, and Green Lantern head to Central City, Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, and Green Arrow head to Themyscira, and Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, Batwoman, Black Canary, and Cyborg intercept Camazotz in Gotham. Wonder Woman and Green Arrow stumble across Skull Island, much to their confusion. Green Arrow offers to investigate the island while Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl take care of Behemoth, which the Amazon reluctantly accepts.

Meanwhile, Cheetah and Black Manta check to see if everyone is accounted for: Captain Cold checked in at Central City and Gorilla Grodd is on his way back to their base. However, Lex Luthor and Toyman are still missing, but Giganta was wished back to Metropolis. Black Manta explains that the stone Toyman took from the Fortress of Solitude was the Dreamstone, which is able to alter realities at will and is responsible for the monsters being transported to their world. Back in Metropolis, Lex Luthor is transported back to his office in Metropolis and witnesses Superman's battle with Godzilla, ordering everyone to the bunker and demanding a full download on what's going on. Hawkgirl arrives and gives Godzilla her "A" swing, which only mildly irritates him, while Jimmy Olson takes Lois Lane to safety.

In Gotham City, Batman and Batwoman engage Camazotz in a dogfight, with the bat Titan attacking with its sonic weapon. Batman suggests luring it away from the city while Nightwing and Batgirl save civilians from the crossfire. Batgirl urges the need to find a weak point, with the Red Hood aiming his sniper rife to shoot it in the eye. Despite pleas to stop from Cyborg and the Bat Family, Red Hood scores a direct hit to the Titan's eye, who retaliates with another sonic blast. The crumbling building threatens to crush the civilians, Nightwing, Red Hood and Batgirl, but Black Canary saves them with her sonic scream. Nightwing and Red Hood argue, with Batgirl knocking him out for his troubles. They regroup and plan to use Camazotz's sonic frequency against it. Batman distracts Camazotz as Cyborg and Batwoman build a sonic amplifier for Black Canary and install it on Batwoman's Batwing. Batman fires a missile at Camazotz's injured eye, causing it to emit another sonic blast and destroy Batman's Batwing. As Batman ejects and safely parachutes to the ground, Cyborg pushes Batwoman's ship towards Camazotz as Black Canary screams into the amplifier, incapacitating the bat Titan.

Back in Metropolis, Superman and Hawkgirl continue harassing Godzilla to buy time for the city's evacuation, but the latter urges the need for a plan to truly beat him. Hawkgirl is swatted away by Godzilla but is saved by Shazam. Superman and Shazam uppercut Godzilla, who retaliates with a blast of his atomic breath. Superman uses his heat vision and engages the Titan in a beam lock. Realizing they're at a standstill, Shazam tries to help by crying out "Shazam!" and striking Godzilla with his lightning bolt. This stuns Godzilla but reverts Shazam back into his normal Billy Batson form. Superman catches Billy and chastises him for doing something so risky. However, Superman takes it back and urges Billy to transform back as Godzilla fires another blast at the two. Superman shields Billy and takes the brunt of the blast, saving the boy but leaving him badly injured.
