In a back-up story in [[Konga issue 15|issue #15]] called "The Himalayan Fable", Paul Gliddens-Smythe, a adventurer known for his disbelief in the Abominable Snowman, got lost when on a trip in the Himalayas. When he found large footprints, he considered but quickly rejected the idea of them belonging to the Snowman. During his trek he lost footing in a snow slide and began to fall, but was stopped mid-air before falling unconscious. It was then revealed that he was saved by a ray shot from a hairy creature that has been following him, and the creature placed him on a snowbank. After awakening, and determined to get back to camp, he nearly fell off, but was saved by a tug on his clothing pulling him back. He looked back to see who was on the mountain with him. When he got back to camp and in a tent, the Snowman watched as he denied the existence of the Yeti once more.
