- Despite the artwork for Cover A, neither Battra nor imago Mothra appear once in the issue. Also despite the official synopsis for the issue, Kumonga never appears nor is mentioned in the issue either.
- The panel where Godzilla throws Ebirah over his shoulder and into Sao Paulo is almost identical to a famous production still from Ebirah, Horror of the Deep.
- Two characters who closely resemble Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham from Godzilla (2014) can be seen running from Godzilla and Ebirah in one panel.
