Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #10 is an IDW comic book. It was released on December 21, 2011.

Description

Things have changed. Last issue's tremendous fight has taken a toll on many of the monsters. Humanity has finally found a way to beat back the relentless assault of giants. But in this brief moment of respite, new threats arise, and mankind finds itself on the losing end again. The monsters may just inherit the Earth in Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #10!

Plot

Confronting Godzilla, Steven Woods lands the first hit, using Mechagodzilla’s Mega-Buster ray to knock Godzilla down. Godzilla is quick to retaliate, using his atomic breath and clawing at the mech. Steven is able to prevent one of Godzilla's attacks by grabbing Godzilla's head and forcing him to fire his beam into the sky, which attracts the attention of Minette and Mallory, who ride upon the backs of Battra and Rodan. Just as Mechagodzilla gains the upper hand against Godzilla, King Ghidorah recovers and joins the battle. Though King Ghidorah is quick to attack Godzilla, with Allie theorizing that Ghidorah may be a "good guy", Steven does not want to chance mischaracterizing the three-headed dragon and uses Mechagodzilla’s Shock Anchors to electrocute both kaiju. President Ogden then contacts Steven and orders him to use Mechagodzilla’s ultimate weapon – the Plamsa Grenade – to finally defeat both monsters, ending the fight. Steven and the president make amends, with Steven apoligizing for his defiant behavior, before Ogden directs Steven to return Mechagodzilla to Detroit. In the aftermath of the battle, Minette and Mallory descend upon Godzilla’s motionless body with Rodan and Battra, just as Godzilla reawakens.
