Plot

Destoroyah rises from the water and splits off into multiple juvenile Destoroyah, following the villagers into a ruined forest wherein they tried running away from the crustacean creatures. Hiroshi and his grandchildren stopped some distance into the forest, where Hiroshi tries to tell them to not stay behind for him any longer. Arata tries to comfort his grandfather, resulting in him realizing that he needs to pray that Godzilla helps them against Destoroyah — that if he does, humanity will do better this time. Immediately after, a Destoroyah catches up with them. Hiroshi tries to keep up with his grandchildren, running right behind them but gets impaled by the Destoroyah. The Destoroyah releases Hiroshi and soon after, Godzilla arrives, ready to fight. Some of the juvenile Destoroyahs combine into flying-form Destoroyah and engage the King of the Monsters. Meanwhile, Hiroshi tells his grandchildren that they need to take Biollante as far away as possible.

After it becomes clear Godzilla is fighting a losing battle, Mothra reappears and manages to turn the tide. Destoroyah then goes into its final form and, with a Micro-Oxygen beam attack, kills Mothra. Taking the opportunity, Godzilla fires his atomic breath right at the back of Destoroyah's head, sending it faceplanting into the ground. Suddenly, Biollante's vines rise out of the ground and wrap around Destoroyah, incapacitating it. Godzilla then charges up and fires his spiral heat ray point-blank at the monster's head, killing it. Godzilla turns around, observing the remains of Tokyo being turned green by Biollante's roots, and walks off into the ocean. In the afterath of the battle, a lone rose blooms amidst the ruined city, itself gradually becoming covered in greenery. Elsewhere, two Mothra larvae hatch from their eggs.
