When Arata and Shiori come into possession of a regenerating fragment of [[Biollante]] following a battle with Godzilla, they learn that she may be the key to restoring the former greenness of the Earth. However, Godzilla is intent on keeping mankind in its current state and intends to destroy Biollante, whereas [[Mothra]] fights to defend Biollante so she can fully regenerate and restore the world. All three monsters will face a bigger common threat in the form of [[Destoroyah]], who arises from the sea to kill everything in his path.
