Issue #22

Template:Infobox IDW Home Invasion is the twenty-first issue of Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. It was released on March 4, 2015.

Description

"The Trilopods arrive, and no monster is safe! As the Cryog Emperor unleashes an all-out assault on the planet, Lucy and Woods face their own dangers and their only hope for the future may lie in the monsters from the past."

Plot

As the Trilopods invade the Monster Islands, they capture Baragon and Kumonga and steal their DNA, morphing into monstourously horrific hybrids. The Gargantuas, Sanda and Gaira fight hopelessly against the creatures as Steven Woods and the Shobijin evacuate the island. Elsewhere Battra is being attacked and having his DNA stolen by a Trilopod, to which Minnette and Mallory use their psychic abilites to decapitate the thieving monster. All of this occurs as the Cryogs, Rhizon and Karkaro, bicker about Karako's arrogance. Karkaro accuses Rhizon of planning to use Earth's kaiju against him once he a built a strong enough army. He orders for them to land and dispatch a hive in an unknown location. Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla battle against Trilopods with SpaceGodzilla and Megaguirus' characteristics. This forces the two monsters to join forces against their enemies, despite their intense hatred of one another. As this occurs, Lucy and the others fly over the Gulf of Mexico and receive a call from Woods. He informs them of the island's takeover and the scuffle in L.A. Woods tells them that they are going to meet at Professor Ando's lab and informs Lucy that she needs to help locate an ancient kaiju that could help before it's too late: the one known as King Caesar.

Elsewhere, another vessel lands in Australia, with invading Trilopods being slaughtered by the dinosaur kaiju, Gorosaurus.
