Kong of Skull Island #11 is a comic book by BOOM! Studios. It was released in May 2017.

Plot

As a part of an examination, Sani asks his students to draft their own accounts of K'in's heritage. He gives them information regarding the Kong and their relationship to the Deathrunners. After Ewata and the Kong killed Their previous leader, whenever Deathrunners would raid the village, they would stop and wait at the feet of the Kong, which they seemed to recognize as their new god. Eventually, the Deathrunners came across a Feral Kong who had escaped into the jungle on an early supply mission. Aguul, at the Citadel recounts that their newest aromatic trigger that induced madness in the Kong would remind the people of their vicious nature, and he rejoices as the Feral Kong and her Deathrunners come to destroy K'vanni, the last person with royal blood. Ewata then drags Gret out of the Citadel, after having only incapacitated him, not killed him, and she demands to know where Aguul has taken K'vanni. Before Gret can get up to lead her there, they are attacked by Valla and Kid Kong. Ewata asks K'in to guide them back to the Citadel, and Aguul, Eesa, and B'san the man who created the scent triggers go down below the Citadel to burn enough of their madness scent to turn all Kong on the island wild. In doing this, they hope to save the Tagu-Atu by having the Kong that protect them turn against them to remind them of their destructive potential, which they believe to be a basic instinctual bloodlust in all Kong. After Gret pieces together their plan, Ewata sends Valla to the shore to warn the Kong, and has K'in lead her to K'vanni. Gret opts to be left at the Citadel, as K'in steals Ewata off to save her from his mother, who attacks her with a swarm of Deathrunners. Inside the Citadel, Aguul readies his soldiers to slaughter Valla and Ewata if they came to stop them, but the scent they had been putting out sent the dinosaurs on the island into a rampage and they burst through the exterior wall.
