Godzilla: Cataclysm (ゴジラ:カタクリズム is a comic book miniseries by Gojira: Katakurizumu)IDW Publishing, written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Dave Wachter. The series was announced in May of 2014, and the first issue was released on August 13, 2014. It chronicles a post-apocalyptic world in which Godzilla has sent human civilization back to a more primitive state. A small village scrapes along scavenging the ruins and fishing, with some of the younger generations seeing the kaiju as deities and worshiping them. The story follows the characters Hiroshi, his grandson Arata and his friend Shiori.
