• This final issue makes Godzilla: Rulers of Earth the longest-running Godzilla comic book series of all time at 25 issues, exceeding Marvel Comics' Godzilla, King of the Monsters series' 24.
• Godzilla: Rulers of Earth #25 is twice the length of a normal IDW Godzilla comic, though artists Matt Frank and Jeff Zornow had only half a month to complete it. This tight schedule resulted in a continuity error, where M.O.G.U.E.R.A. and Kiryu are destroyed by the Trilopods, only to reappear intact later in the issue.
• At the end of the issue, several vehicles are seen along with the Counter-Kaiju Reaction Forces, including the Gotengo, a Maser Cannon, two ASTOL-MB93 planes, and the Super X.
• At the end of the issue, the Oxygen Destroyer can be briefly seen on Lucy's shelf. The books next to it are written by "Dr. Forrester, M.D." (a reference to the villainous mad scientist from the TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000) and "Galbraith" (a nod to Monsters Are Attacking Tokyo! author Stuart Galbraith IV).
• The release of this comic was delayed for two weeks.^{[citation needed]}
