Ganimes (ガニメ Ganime) is a giant stone crab kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in the 1970 Toho film, Space Amoeba.
Name
Ganimes' name comes from the Japanese word kani (蟹), meaning crab, and me, a kaiju name suffix.

When Lucy Casprell visited Infant Island, she saw a massive cave painting and the Shobijin told her the story of Earth's monsters. Located in the natural balance of the water element was Ganimes. Ganimes did not make an appearance in the series though.
