Shimo[2] is a reptilian Titan[1] that will appear in the upcoming 2024 Legendary Pictures film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Its role in the film is currently unknown.

Name

Shimo (霜) is a Japanese word meaning "frost" or "gray hair." The name was first revealed on a Jada Toys Metalfigs figure at the 2023 Singapore Comic Con.[2]

Design

While marketing for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has yet to reveal Shimo in full, merchandise and an image of it included on the box for a Playmates figure depict Shimo as a reptilian monster with some similarities to Godzilla's evolved form. A quadrupedal creature with white scales, it possesses Stegosaurus-like thagomizers on the tip of its tail and crystalline spines down its back, both of which are a blue or purple color. Shimo's head is also adorned with many crystals which are arranged in a crown-like formation. Its eyes appear to be purple with black pupils.
