Bakugon (バクゴン is a tapir-like Bakugon)Terror-Beast who first appeared in episode 23 of the 1973 Toho tokusatsu kaiju series Zone Fighter, titled "Secret of the Great Terror-Beast Bakugon."
Name
Bakugon's name is most likely derived from the baku, a tapir-like creature from Japanese mythology upon which the monster's design may have been based.
Design
Bakugon is a tall monster who draws on characteristics of tamanduas and tapirs. He has brown fur with a white torso and a black snout, ears and hands. Bakugon also has a red spot on the side of his neck. Bakugon appears to be augmented with cybernetics, as he has a set of metal objects on his back.
