The Flame Tribe (炎のトライブ Honō no Toraibu, lit. Tribe of Flame) is a sentai-like team created by Toho that first appeared in the 2003 tokusatsu series, The Gransazers.
Design
All of the Flame Sazers' costumes look almost the same with the exception of their armor and helmet shape. The red-shaded armor that each Flame Sazer wears is based on various birds, which links them to their Ultra Star God Garuda and, later on, their Flame-Driver Grand Vehicles.
Sazer Tarious, the flame warrior under the sign of Sagittarius, wears red colored armor shaped after a falcon.
Sazer Mithras, the flame warrior under the sign of Aries, wears white and red armor colored shaped after a swan.
Sazer Lion, the flame warrior under the sign of Leo, wears black and red colored armor shaped after a swallow.
History
The Gransazers
The Flame Tribe is the first tribe to recognize Warp Monarch's threat to the Earth and the second to be fully assembled. Professor Horiguchi has been assisting them from the beginning, possibly because Sazer Mithras, the first Gransazer to be awakened, had been his assistant before her awakening.
