Titans (巨人 are giant man-eating Kyojin, lit. Giants)kaijin based on creatures from a manga series created by Kodansha Comics that appear in the 2015 Toho and Nikkatsu films, Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 1 and Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 2.
History
Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 1
After the Colossal Titan kicks a hole in the wall, multiple Titans enter through and begin to attack. The Garrison goes on the defensive, and opens fire on the Titans with their cannons, but their effort is in vain as the monsters regenerate the damage within seconds. After decimating most of the Garrison, the Titans carry out a massacre in Monzen. Forcing survivors of the attack to retreat behind the second wall.
When the Military Police set out on an expedition into Titan territory to retrieve explosives, they are attacked by a large group of Titans, the expedition suffers massive casualties including Eren, who is eaten by one of the Titans. Luckily, Eren erupts from the Titan and transforms into the Attack Titan, then dispatches all the other Titans before collapsing out of exhaustion.

The Titans possess an incredible regenerative ability which allows them to instantly heal from most injuries, including head trauma.
Weaknesses
Titans can only be killed when their nape is severed or severely damaged. Once the nape is destroyed, the Titan won't be able to regenerate, and dies.
