The Ion Dragon is a Titan[1] that was first alluded to in the 2017 Monsterverse film Kong: Skull Island, and later appeared in the in the 2023 television series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

The Ion Dragon resembles a Wyvern but with piscine features such as gills and a fish shaped head.

The monster possesses a quadrupedal body-plan similar to quadrupedal carnivores such as Wolves, it's body is covered in overlapping plates resembling those of a pangolin, its snout resembles the nose of a Starnose mole with several tendrils surrounding its mouth, which glow blue at the tip of each, The mouth itself contains many large and jagged teeth.

Secrets and Lies
Hiroshi Randa and his team landed in a remote location in Alaska, the monster destroyed their ship and killed their pilot. A year later when his children Kate Randa and Kentaro Randa alongside Lee Shaw, May Olowe-Hewitt, and Du-Ho came to the same area in search of Hiroshi. While the group initially assumed Hiroshi's plane crashed, Du-Ho realized what had actually happened and alerted the group so they could leave. As he drove the plane towards the others so they could board it, the monster emerged from the ground, destroyed one of the plane's wings, and killed Du-Ho with its freezing breath.
Abilities
Burrowing
The monster is able to quickly burrow through icy terrain.
Freezing Breath
The monster can expel a freezing air from its mouth. This vapor was cold enough to freeze Du-Ho to death in seconds.
Thermolocation
The monster is guided by thermolocation.[1]

Lieutenant Leland Lafayette "Lee" Shaw III is a character who first appeared in the 2014 Legendary Comics graphic novel Godzilla: Awakening and later starred in the 2023 television series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
Name
In Godzilla: Awakening, Shaw is only ever referred to by his surname. He introduces himself as Leland Lafayette Shaw III in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which he shortens to Lee Shaw.
