Spark Raigoro (スパーク・ライゴロウ is an electricity Supāku Raigorō)yokai created by Toho that first appeared in episode 134 of the 1974 tokusatsu yokai series, Go! Kotaro Ushiwaka, titled "Spark Raigoro."
Name
While his episode is titled "Spark Raigoro," the yokai refers to himself only as Raigoro (ライゴロウ. While Raigorō is a common Raigorō)Japanese given name, it is possible that it was chosen for its similarity to raikō (雷公), a Japanese word for "thunder," or gorogoro (ゴロゴロ or ごろごろ), a Japanese onomatopoeia for thunder.
