Mechagodzilla (メカゴジラ is a cybernetic Mekagojira)Titan who appears in the 2021 Legendary Pictures film Godzilla vs. Kong. He is the second incarnation of Mechagodzilla to appear in an American-made film, after the 2018 film Ready Player One.
Name
The name "Mechagodzilla" comes from "mecha," which is derived from the word "mechanical".
Design
This Mechagodzilla is considerably more thinner than other previous incarnations of the character. Mechagodzilla is primarily a gun-metal colour, with small hints of black through his body.Mechagodzilla’s head bears the shape of King Ghidorah’s head, with actually houses the golden dragon’s skull underneath, along with an artificial brain to control the Mechagodzillas movements. Mechagodzilla arms and hands are noticeably more larger and thicker than previous incarnations, his hands resembling that of giant crane claws.
Both of Mechagodzilla’s feet supports a total of five digits, with four at the front and one back digit. He supports three rows of small, square-shaped dorsal plates with a small hint of red at the top. These dorsal plates travel from Mechagodzilla’s head to his tail, which ends with a set of three small blades. His tail appears to be versatile and more flexible than previous incarnations.
