Trivia
- Gamera vs. Phoenix was originally conceptualized as a one-hour straight-to-video release directed by Noriaki Yuasa. Daiei's plan to revive Gamera was very conservative until Shusuke Kaneko was hired. The project was scrapped as production began on Gamera the Guardian of the Universe.[2]
