Trivia
- Originally, Gamera vs. Phoenix was planned as a film, before Gamera: Guardian of the Universe. Before director Shusuke Kaneko came on board Guardian of the Universe, Daiei was being very conservative with Gamera's return during the initial planning phases of 1993-to-1994. Some ideas included making it an hour-long straight-to-video release, and getting old series director Noriaki Yuasa to work on it.[1]
