List of minor Toho monsters
This page is a list of minor monsters from Toho-licensed media. This is defined as any kaiju, kaijin, animals, or other beings whose roles generally have little overall relevance in the media they are featured in, and which are generally not trademarked. As a result, this page doesn't include characters such as Meganulon or Meganula, Fairy Mothra, Garugaru, Barem, and Ghogo, who are all trademarked.

The Giant Praying Mantises were native to Solgell Island, and stalked its jungles at night. One mantis wandered too close to the camp of several United Nations scientists on the island, who were able to scare it away with gunshots. When the scientists' weather-controlling experiment went awry and triggered unrelenting radioactive storms, three of these mantises were mutated into giant monsters dubbed Kamacuras. |

The Maneater appeared when Ichiro Miki walked in front of it, distracted by watching Minilla trying to fire atomic breath in front of Godzilla but failing. The Maneater sneakily grabbed Ichiro, put him up to its body, and covered his mouth so he couldn't talk. Ichiro then woke up from his dream and realized that he was being kidnapped by robbers.

During one of the film's animated segments, the Smog Factory made an appearance, grabbing up surrounding trees with its claws and growing in size while producing large quantities of smog. Hedorah appeared and ate the smog being produced, sitting on top of the factory and consuming it whole. Once the Smog Factory was completely consumed, Hedorah flew away.

The Fish People were a hallucination experienced by Yukio Keuchi while at a nightclub. He hallucinated that the other patrons all possessed fish heads as they were dancing to the song "Return the Sun!." After shaking his head, he quickly snapped out of the hallucination.

Shipniocus is a prehistoric fernaceous plant discovered adhering to the eggs of both BabyGodzilla and Rodan on Adonoa Island. It emits a mysterious telepathic energy which when interpreted by psychics and fed into a recording produces a melody. Whenever Baby or Rodan heard this melody, they received a large intake of power. In the case of Rodan, the energy from this melody was sufficient to revive him following his battle with Godzilla and transform him into Fire Rodan.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) |
The brainchild of Kazuma Aoki, the Pteranodon Robot was a flying vehicle modeled after the Pteranodons he adored so much. Aoki brought the completed robot to the enclosure where BabyGodzilla was being held by the United Nations Godzilla Countermeasures Center and cared for by Azusa Gojo. Aoki let Azusa ride on the robot with him, but as they passed over Baby's enclosure the robot sputtered and suddenly dropped out of the sky, crashing in the enclosure. Both Aoki and Azusa were unhurt, though the Pteranodon Robot was damaged. Aoki later repaired the Pteranodon Robot and used it to exit the Garuda during the battle between Godzilla and Super Mechagodzilla.

The condor was caught and kept in a containment cell by the evil scientist, Malic.[6] Eventually, the condor was brought out when Malic needed to create a monster to intercept the crew of the Alpha. It was slaughtered, and its wings were cut off, which would later be grafted to a lion possessing the brain of the Black Shark captain Kroiga, forming the Griffon.

The chargers are allosaurus-looking purple dinosaurs with spikes starting on the top of their head, going down their spines all the way to the tip of their tails. They were domesticated by the Lizard-Warriors and used for war. At least seven were seen in the comic, including one that was used to pull a war chariot, a yellow one, and a green one.

A new species of Ankylosaurus discovered by Doctor Oniyama with the assistance of a version of himself who travelled through time, Ankylosaurus's fossilised skeleton was placed on display at a Dinosaur Expo. With the Expo in operation, the two Oniyamas used KIDS to fire a beam into the fossil to revive it, resulting in a living Ankylosaurus. Aware that Godzilla would come to protect Miki Hideo and his friends, who were at the Expo, the Oniyamas used KIDS to devolve Godzilla into Godzillasaurus, and the two ancient reptiles fought. With Ankylosaurus losing the fight, KIDS was used again to fire a syringe full of DNA into Ankylosaurus's body, causing it to rapidly grow into a full-size Anguirus.
