Gamaron (ガマロン Gamaron) is a kaiju that was first created as a plastic model kit by Nitto in 1966. Amapro would later make their own figures of Gamaron and Wanigon, advertising them in the 2000 short film Wanigon vs. Gamaron.[2]
Development

Gamaron stems from Gamagon, a poisonous, villainous frog kaiju from a short serial story Death Battle: Gamagon vs. Ganiri on Weekly Shonen King,[3][4] while its design is also partially reminiscent of Gamera (as Wanigon was designed after Barugon).
Gamaron diverges heavily from the two kaiju it was based on, Gamagon and Gamera, while Gamaron's characteristics, abilities, personality, and size were altered from that of Gamagon.
Design
Gamaron is a round frog covered in tan and green skin adorned with dark warts. It has a pair of very large hind legs, a stubby tail, a tympanum which glows red when the monster's alive, and a wavy membrane running down its spine. Gamaron's mouth has two large fangs, as well as two smaller fangs on its lower jaw.

Heisei era
Wanigon vs. Gamaron
Gamaron rose out of a construction site before Wanigon as the latter wandered through a city. Both monsters stared each other down and roared in each other's faces before Gamaron suddenly leaped in the air and crashed into a building, dazing it. Before Gamaron could recover, Wanigon charged and stabbed it in the stomach with its horn before knocking Gamaron over with a headbutt. Wanigon pinned Gamaron down and began biting its chest, pulling away with a line of intestines, which it promptly ate. Suddenly, Gamaron surged back to life and leaped up, biting Wanigon on the neck and not letting go despite the larger monster's struggles. Wanigon foamed at the mouth before collapsing into a building, dead. Immediately afterwards, Gamaron succumbed to its injuries, collapsing right next to Wanigon and dying.

Revitalization
