Styrga

Styrga is a fish kaiju who appears in the second story arc of the 2025 IDW Publishing ongoing series Godzilla, Energy Unleashed.
Design
Styrga resembles a large fish in form, generally grey in color with large blue splotches running down the side of its body. It has long pectoral fins and a row of tattered fins running down its back. The head noticeably bears a resemblance to the skulls of prehistoric predatory whales such as basilosaurs and macroraptorial sperm whales, possesses a pair of catfish-like whiskers trailing down from its cheeks, and has glowing light purple eyes.

Styrga was one of many kaiju that May awakened to enact her plan of causing a monster stampede across the United States, emerging from the depths of Lake Superior.
Issue #9
As Styrga made its way through the St. Croix River, G-Force commander Riviera tackled the beast and managed to punch through one of its eyes. However, the tables quickly turned once Styrga was able to make its way into the deeper waters of the Mississippi River, taking Riviera with it and dragging him across the bottom of the river for over a mile. The kaiju's advantage quickly slipped away when it ran aground on a river bank, where Riviera was able to finally dispatch it.
