Takora (タコラ is a greedy octopus Takora)kaiju who stars in the 1973 Toho Planning tokusatsu series Kure Kure Takora.
Name
Takora's name is derived from the Japanese word tako (タコ, "octopus"), combined with the common kaiju name suffix -ra. Some sources report the name of his show, Kure Kure Takora (クレクレタコラ, as the name of the character. Kure Kure Takora)[3] The "kure" portions come from the Japanese verb kureru (くれる), meaning "to give", but are in the imperative form, making them a command ("give me [that]"). In the show, Kure! Kure! ("Give me! Give me!") is something of a catchphrase, which Takora uses to demand that other kaiju give him things.
On the cover of Toho Video's LaserDisc release of the show, its title is rendered in English as "KUREKURETACORA." More recent merchandise instead uses "KUREKURE TAKORA."

Origins
Takora belongs to the fictional octopus species "futekusaretako" (フテクサレタコ, lit. "irresponsible octopus"). He was mutated in size due to pollution, and migrated to land.[4]
