Trivia
- Gamera vs. Phoenix was originally conceptualized as a one-hour straight-to-video release directed by Noriaki Yuasa. Daiei's plan to revive Gamera was very conservative until Shusuke Kaneko was hired. The project was scrapped as production began on Gamera: Guardian of the Universe.[1]
