GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters
Originally born on the Aratrum, Josh Emerson volunteered as one of 600 soldiers to travel to the Earth's surface to carry out Haruo Sakaki's anti-Godzilla plan, and served as an assistant to Professor Martin Lazzari. He accompanied a small team led by Martin to analyze the environment, and was surprised by the flora now growing on the planet and its drastic difference to that seen in records on the Aratrum. Josh attempted to touch one of the plants but was stopped by Martin, who demonstrated how they could be sharp enough to slice clean through their airtight suits. Eventually, the team came upon the ruins of several buildings left behind by humanity, which Martin proposed had been preserved by lichen that used the concrete as a seedbed and then fossilized. As they were marveling over the ruins, they were called back to the company's base camp, which was under attack by bizarre winged creatures.
