Lucas (ルーカス Rūkasu) is a small, spherical robot character who appears throughout the 1997 television series Godzilla Island.
Personality
Lucas is shown to be rather sarcastic, as well as suspicious of strangers (namely Torema), but is still willing to defend the Earth against the Xiliens.
History

Lucas is a small, spherical robot with advanced artificial intelligence; he aids the Commander in monitoring the monsters and can translate for them as well.
Abilities
Kaiju communication
Lucas can understand the speech of kaiju and frequently translates for Beisuke Jinguji, although he is prone to misrepresenting them for his own amusement.
Weaknesses
He is unable to disobey Beisuke Jinguji's orders, which proved to be a problem when the latter was mind controlled by Zagreth, though he was able to bend it when he told Torema Beisuke's real name. He is also incapable of defending himself in combat. He nearly shorted out when he gave up some of his energy to fire the anti-air gun in the story arc The Artificial Sun.
Trivia
- Lucas is said to have been created in Osaka, and thus speaks Japanese with a Kansai dialect.
