Bearach "BB" Byrne (ベイラ・バーン”BB” (ビービー),   Beira Bān Bībī) is a supporting character in the 2021 animated Godzilla series, Godzilla Singular Point.

Name

BB is never referred to by his full name in dialogue, and it is thus never translated by Netflix's subtitles. However, his Upala ID card writes his name as "Bearach Byrne" in English.

"Bearach" is Irish in origin, related to the modern Barry, while his surname "Byrne" is derived from the Irish name Ó Broin. Despite his first name not possessing a final consonant in Japanese (ベイラ,   Beira), Bearach is traditionally pronounced with a final /x/ sound.
