Ghost Godzilla

Ghost Godzilla (ゴーストゴジラ is an unused Gōsuto Gojira)kaiju who was considered for inclusion in various proposals for the seventh and final Heisei Godzilla film. It is the restless spirit of the original Godzilla who was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer in 1954.
Overview
Ghost Godzilla was intended to be Godzilla's opponent in the final film of the Heisei series. Planning on tying the last planned Godzilla film for at least a decade in with the original 1954 film, Toho decided for Godzilla's opponent to be the reincarnation of the restless spirit of the first Godzilla. According to concept art of Ghost Godzilla commissioned by Shinji Nishikawa on December 27, 1994,[2] Ghost Godzilla would have possessed LittleGodzilla in one draft of the film, causing him to grow from the inside out into a form resembling the 1954 Godzilla. As a result of the sudden growth, Ghost Godzilla would have large cracks and tears in its skin. Ghost Godzilla also appears to have white eyes with no pupils. In another draft, the spirit possessed Anguirus, transforming into the hybrid kaiju Godzirus. In a draft titled Godzilla vs. Baraguirus, Ghost Godzilla instead possessed the new kaiju Baraguirus, described as resembling a hybrid between Baragon and Anguirus.[3] In the story for Godzilla vs. Chaos, Godzilla, LittleGodzilla, and the extradimensional kaiju Chaos battled over Ghost Godzilla's bio-energy.
Ghost Godzilla was scrapped because director Takao Okawara reportedly felt that after Godzilla's previous two opponents, Mechagodzilla and SpaceGodzilla, being clones of him, having a third film pitting Godzilla against a clone of himself "would not [have been] a good idea."[4] Ghost Godzilla was eventually replaced with Barubaroi, who was subsequently reworked into Destoroyah.
Ghost Godzilla would be considered one last time for Bio-Godzilla where it would have teamed up with a Adult Godzilla Junior to take on a bigger threat. Unlike the previous versions it would not require a vessel to fight and destroy cities. However when Tomoyuki Tanaka passed away in 1997 Bio-Godzilla would be scrapped and Ghost Godzilla with it.[5]
Abilities
Atomic Breath
One version of the draft has Ghost Godzilla being able to use his Atomic Breath.[6]
Possession
He can possess other kaiju such as Little Godzilla, Anguirus, and Baraguirus and even humans. In drafts where he possesses Little Godzilla and Anguirus, he can mutate his vessel into having traits or his original appearance when he was alive.
Shapeshifting
In drafts where he possesses Little Godzilla he was able to transform into Little Godzilla in order to weaken Godzilla's attacks. He was also able to take forms of Aura Godzilla and Crystal Godzilla.
Supernatural abilities
Ghost Godzilla can also corrupt the souls of his victims with his evil influence, use levitation, teleportation, spit ectoplasm to make copies of himself, able to become invisible to the human eye, pass through solid objects and manipulate the environment with its life energy, shown in one draft where he causes damage to Tokyo.
In Bio-Godzilla, Ghost Godzilla is able to fight without being able to possess another kaiju and is able to destroy cities.
Weaknesses
In one draft of the him he hates being in the daylight and only show up at night, his movement is restricted to where he went when he was alive without a vessel.
While another draft of the movie he can be forced out of his vessel when beaten enough shown in one draft where Godzilla was able to defeat him and force him out of Little Godzilla. His possession can be resisted if the user’s will strong enough shown in one draft where Little Godzilla was able to temporarily take back control at times briefly .
In one other draft at the end when he enters his final form as Crystal Godzilla when he is defeated his remaining life energy will be used up and the Original Godzilla will defeated for good, shown when Little Godzilla now more grown up more thanks Miki Saegusa's assistance he was able to destroy his Crystal Godzilla form and defeats him once and for all
