Emperor Dongolos (ドンゴロス,   Dongorosu) is the supreme commander of the villainous Die-Die Gang in the 1982 animated series Warrior of Love Rainbowman. After being banished from his home planet of Wandol, Dongolos arrived on Earth, and began inspiring war and conflict amongst its people to spread destruction and hasten development of new technologies. He was eventually challenged by the ancient yogi Deva Datta, who sealed him in a stone coffin. Dongolos was kept imprisoned by the holy man's mental energy for 200 years, and on Deva Datta's death, he finally broke free to reassume command of the Die-Die Gang from his commander Mr. K.

Still locked within his stone prison, Dongolos was able to give orders to Mr. K and Fairie Rosé, though the energy this took alerted Deva Datta. After two centuries of waiting, the old yogi's power began to slip, allowing Dongolos to break free, and address his loyal Die-Die Gang from his throne.

"The Terrifying Robot Factory"

In the undersea headquarters of the Die-Die Gang, Emperor Dongolos berates Mr. K for his failings, and it becomes apparent that the Die Die Gang has run out of resources to create a new Devil Mecha. However, Mr. K has a plan. Fairie Rosé uses a human disguise to plant a mind control bug on the neck of Tomoko's father, the president of a factory, and using his facilities, begins to create the Die Die Gang's next Devil Mecha. Dongolos names a new soldier as the pilot for the new Devil Mecha, and he is cheered on by the crowd as he enters a sealed chamber where he mutates into a starfish-like creature.
