Within the context of the movie itself Black Diablos is simply addressed by characters as Diablos (ディアブロス, however in multiple official interviews with the movie director Paul W. S. Anderson has addressed the creature as Black Diablos,[ Diaburosu)citation needed] with this reflecting the monster's appearance.
