Kirafadoras (キラファドラス Kirafadorasu), later becoming Gorathdoras (ゴラスドラス Gorasudorasu), is a kaiju who appears in the 2025 "Super Godzilla Legend" arc of the 2019 web series Godziban. A creation of the Kilaaks, Kirafadoras was born on the runaway star Gorath before combining with the Goradonium heart of the star itself to create Gorathdoras.
Name
The character is first introduced in "Super Godzilla Legend: Battra vs. the Flaming Dragon" as Fire Dragon (ファイヤードラゴン Faiyā Doragon), a name originally used in Destroy All Monsters to refer to the Kilaak UFO. The following episode, "Super Godzilla Legend: His Name is Super Godzilla", establishes that its name is instead Kirafadoras, with Fire Dragon applied as an epithet.
"Kirafadoras" is a combination of kira, the first two kana of the Kilaaks' Japanese name (キラアク Kirāku); fa, the first two kana of the Japanese rendering of "fire" (ファイヤー faiyā); and dora, the first two kana of the Japanese rendering of "dragon" (ドラゴン doragon), with a final kana su (ス) added to the end.[1] Despite the Kilaaks' name being officially translated with an L, tweets by the Godziban account and series creator Hideyuki Kobayashi spell the first part of "Kirafadoras" with an R.[2][3]
Kirafadoras' evolved form is named Gorathdoras, replacing the first three syllables with "Gorath", the star on which it was created.
Development
The monster and its story were partially inspired by the Ultraman monster Dorako and its debut episode, "Mystery Comet Tsuifon", which was itself inspired by Gorath.[4]
As with all of the Godziban characters, Kirafadoras and Gorathdoras were portrayed by puppets. Kirafadoras' puppet began with a clay sculpt, from which a plaster mold was created to cast the final piece in latex in urethane.[5] Two puppeteers working in tandem brought the dragon to life.[6] The Gorathdoras puppet was roughly 2 meters tall.[citation needed]
A battle between Gorathdoras and Battra was shot for "His Name is Super Godzilla", but was cut due to time limitations and changes in the script.[7]
Design
Kirafadoras resembles a fairly traditional dragon with two arms, two legs, and two giant wings. Its head is adorned with spikes at its sides and twisted horns on top, and it has small whiskers on its nose. Small, webbed, wing-like vestiges appear on its shoulders and legs. The dragon is primarily maroon with a tan chest, and its small eyes are a deep black color. Most notably, Kirafadoras is always enveloped in flames.
Kirafadoras's flying form resembles the Kilaak UFO's "Fire Dragon" form in Destroy All Monsters as a ball of fire.
The kaiju sports a markedly different design as Gorathdoras, possessing a noticeably stockier build with a bulkier body, thick legs and arms, and no wings. Its body is largely black and covered with red and orange, spikey, armor-like protrusions. Its eyes are larger than those of Kirafadoras, and are a plain orange color. It sports a thin, pointed snout and two massive horns. The Goradonium crystal heart of Gorath protrudes from its back.
Origins
Kirafadoras was created by the Kilaaks on the runaway star Gorath using energy absorbed by Gorath's crystal heart, which had been unwittingly supplied by the Godzillas Taigo and Mirei in their unsuccessful attempts to destroy it. Using this energy, a large group of Kilaaks merged together to create Kirafadoras. Gorathdoras was created when Kirafadoras merged directly with the Goradonium[8] crystal heart of Gorath and created a new body using rocks from the star's surface.

Godziban
"Super Godzilla Legend: Battra vs. the Flaming Dragon"
Taigo, Mirei, Mothra and Battra ventured into space to stop the runaway star Gorath, landing on the star before Mirei used her atomic breath to drill a hole directly to Gorath's crystal heart. As Taigo subsequently attempted to destroy it, however, the Kilaaks revealed themselves, at which point the psychic seer Magubaba and Grandpa Zilla back on Earth realized in horror that they were playing directly into the Kilaaks' hands as the Goradonium crystal heart of Gorath was actually absorbing the energy. Empowered by Taigo's energy, a group of 13 Kilaaks merged into a Kilaak UFO which then sent out a bolt-like blast, combining another, larger group of Kilaaks into Kirafadoras.
The Fire Dragon immediately rained fireballs from its mouth down on the four monsters. Taigo, his body now in an unstable burning state due to the energy he exhausted, attempted to blast Kirafadoras with his atomic breath, but the dragon dodged the blast as it transformed to flying Kirafadoras in pursuit of Mothra. Kirafadoras quickly caught up with Mothra, and after multiple blasts of its fire breath, Mothra fell back. Just as Kirafadoras attempted to finish Mothra off with another blast, Battra appeared and protected the divine moth. Battra fired his Prism Beams at Kirafadoras and landed a direct hit on the Fire Dragon, causing it to withdraw. Battra chased down Kirafadoras, and the two engaged in a dog fight through space. However, Kirafadoras dodged each of Battra's attacks and severely wounded him with multiple fire balls, leaving his motionless body floating in the void of space.

With Battra seemingly defeated, Kirafadoras returned to Gorath and plunged into the hole produced by Mirei's atomic breath. Soon after, the dragon emerged from the crater, now bonded directly with the crystal heart of Gorath. Fragments of rock combined with the dragon and the Goradonium, transforming them into Gorathdoras: a living embodiment of the star itself. The Demon Star Beast fired beams from its horns, overwhelming both Taigo and Mirei and knocking them to the ground. Eventually, Taigo got to his feet and attempted to battle Gorathdoras, but the monster proved too strong for the Godzilla. Gorathdoras turned to Mirei and blasted her with its horn beams, fully incapacitating her. Angered, Taigo eventually mustered his remaining power into two concentrated blasts, including a full-body blast, destroying Gorathdoras. However, the Demon Star Beast was almost instantly revived thanks to Gorath's crystal heart, and Taigo collapsed due to overexerting himself in his burning state.
Luckily, Mirei, Battra, and Mothra lent their energy to Taigo, allowing him to become Super Godzilla, ready to battle Gorathdoras once again.

As told by Magubaba to Godzilla-kun and Kingoji-kun, Super Godzilla destroyed Gorath by using a stomach beam attack. Gorathdoras survived the blast and continued to duel Super Godzilla in the meteor field.
In the present day, Gorathdoras and a Kilaak saucer participated in an invasion of Godzi Godzi Island alongside Bagan, Destoroyah, Desghidorah, King Ghidorah, Mecha-King Ghidorah, and Monster Zero. Taigo and Mirei, in the forms of Super Godzilla and Super Biollante, returned to the island to assist their children and allies in its defense.
Abilities
Physical abilities
Gorathdoras possesses great physical strength, as it was able to stop a charging Taigo with just one hand, before lifting and tossing him back.
Durability
Gorathdoras is shown to be incredibly durable, able to survive a direct blast from Taigo's atomic breath while in his burning state, before its body was destroyed by a second full-body blast from the Godzilla.
Fire breath
Kirafadoras is able to both shoot fireballs from its mouth, which were strong enough to stagger Taigo, and later severely harm Battra and set him aflame after several direct blasts. Kirafadoras can also breathe streams of flame from its mouth, which were able to severely harm Mothra.
Flight
Kirafadoras is capable of flight. While as Flying Kirafadoras, it is able to fly at incredible speeds, such that it could dodge an atomic breath from Taigo in his burning state, could quickly catch up to and keep up with to Mothra in space, and evade Battra's Prism Beam attacks.
Horn beams
Gorathdoras is able to fire twin blue beams from the horns on its head. These beams were powerful enough to cause great devastation to the surface of Gorath and generate violent tremors.
Revival
Gorathdoras is able to be revive itself with Goradonium, as shown when the Demon Star Beast reformed its body after Taigo destroyed it with a full-body blast.

Trivia
- In Destroy All Monsters' manga adaptation, the Fire Dragon manifests with an actual draconic form, which Kirafadoras' flying form partially resembles. Both also share ties with the Kilaaks.
- The concept of Gorath being a kaiju was previously hypothesized in GODZILLA: Project Mechagodzilla to explain the star's abnormal path, which itself was in reference to Gorath's role as Monster X's vessel in Godzilla Final Wars.
- Though acknowledged to have been partially inspired by the Ultraman monster Dorako, Kirafadoras bears a particularly strong resemblance to Powered Dorako, boasting a very similar wing shape and color scheme.
